QR Codes: Generating and Downloading
Every TinyX short link has a QR code, on every plan. Download it and use it anywhere: print, signage, presentations, packaging.
Getting a QR code
There's nothing to set up. Open the link in your dashboard and use its QR code option to view the code.
Downloading
You can download the QR code as:
- SVG: a vector file that scales to any size without losing quality. Best for print.
- PNG: a regular image, handy for slides, documents and the web.
Where to use QR codes
Print: business cards, flyers, brochures, menus.
Event signage: stands, displays, venue signs.
Packaging: boxes, labels and tags linking to instructions or registration.
Presentations: put it on your last slide so people can follow the link without typing.
Tracking scans
A scan opens your short link, so it shows up in analytics as a normal visit. Scans can't be told apart from clicks. If you need to measure a printed piece separately, give it its own short link.
Tips
Test before you print. Scan it with your phone and check it goes to the right place.
Keep the link live. If the link has an expiry or use limit, an expired link means a dead QR code. Because the QR code points at the short link, you can change the destination later without reprinting.
Size matters. Aim for at least about 2.5 cm (1 inch) square for close-up scanning, and bigger for signage seen from a distance.
Use high contrast. Dark on a light background scans most reliably.
