Getting Started with TinyX: Your First Short Link

Welcome to TinyX. This guide walks you through creating your first short link — from sign-up to share-ready in under two minutes.


1. Create an Account


Head to tinyx.co and click Get Started. Enter your email and a password, then verify your email address using the link we send you. Email verification is required before you can create links.


2. Go to Your Dashboard


After logging in, you'll land on your dashboard. This is your home base — it shows your recent links, usage stats, and quick-create button.



Click New Link in the top navigation or the dashboard shortcut.


Fill in the details:


  • Destination URL — the full URL you want to shorten (e.g. https://yourdomain.com/some/long/path)
  • Short code — leave this blank to get a random code, or type a custom one if you're on Pro or Max
  • Label — an internal note so you can find the link later (not shown to visitors)


Click Create Link and you're done.



Your short link will look like tinyx.co/x/abc123. Copy it from the link list and share it anywhere — email, social, print, wherever.


5. What Happens When Someone Clicks


TinyX instantly redirects your visitor to the destination URL and records the click. You'll see that data in the link's analytics view within seconds.


What's Next?


  • Add a password to restrict who can follow the link
  • Set an expiry so the link stops working after a date or number of clicks
  • Generate a QR code for offline use
  • Check your analytics to see where clicks are coming from
